Dinner and Greater Tuna

Russell Community Theater’s production Greater Tuna by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard will be performed at the Elks July 8 – 12, 2014.  Dinner is served 6:30 to 7:30 pm and the show starts at 8PM.  All seats are reserved:  contact Encore Antiques & Collectables at 785.483.4057 to make your reservation.

Tuna, Texas is the third smallest town in the Lonestar State.  Tuna may be small, but it’s overflowing with characters from both sides of the tracks and from all walks of life.  In this hilarious sendup of small town life, you’ll meet the likes of radio hosts Arles Struvie and Thurston Wheelis, chicken farmer Pearl Burras, do-gooder Petey Frisk, weatherman Harold Dean Lattimer, the entire Bumiller family and the half Rat-terrier-half Chihuahua appropriately named Yippy.

The play features Russell community citizens Jeff Ochampaugh, Roger Dennis, Cole Anschutz, Barbara Dennis, John Kreutzer, Becky Anschutz, Nick Cable, Sheryl Krug, Michael Kruetzer, Kaylee Kuhlmann Donner, Debbie Dumler, Nancy Aspergren, Mary Keeler, and John Dumler.

This is a play featuring mature comedy.  The RCT Board of Directors feels that this production may not be suitable for children or those who are easily offended.

Greater Tuna is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

As this is a dinner theater production, you may wish to read our Dinner Theater Fine Print page.

Hello world!

YES YES.  The Russell Community Theater finally has updated their web site.  It’s a little bare-bones now, but we will soon be adding content for new plays and even putting some history on the site.  We’ll have cast interviews, pictures and even come behind-the-scenes videos of what goes into making all of these community performances happen!

Keep checking back on the site to see new things!
